Toothache relief...what type of pain meds do doctors give for toothache and tmj pain in the emergency room?

    The pain is often caused by infection. So they prescribe an antibiotic for the infection and depending on how severe the pain is they will usually give some type of narcotic pain reliever.

    they will prescribe you an antibiotic like penicillin or amoxicillin to kill the infection and probably a pain killer like vykadin or percoset
