What computer/laptop should I get for my child?

My child is a genius with laptop but each laptop he's had have been broken. I'm thinking that I should get him a laptop/computer. What laptop/desktop should I get him? Some of the things which the laptops have broken by are the screen hinges, the laptop has had dust in it and the processor stopped working and he dropped one and it broke.

I want this laptop to last for one or two years. I want it to have a fast i5/i7 processor so that he can play his games on it.

They'd been broken by his sister aswell. Oh and he's genius by doing things like making progams and videos unlike his school mates.

Oh and by computer/laptop I mean model numbers, e.g. Dell xps 15z or allienware m11x.

I have a budget of around 770 dollars(500 pounds) to 1600 dollars(1038 pounds)

You need a laptop with extra armor. By that means paying extra for armor only henceforth reducing the budget for hardware. So either you teach you son to maintain delicate things (which he would have) or you spend money for hardened laptop armor. Some military grade laptop.

Well considering your budget is quite a lot, you got another option to buy desktop and laptop.

    - Acer AS5733Z-4469 15.6-Inch Laptop is the second Acer I've bought in the last 6 months - my niece needed a computer, so I gave her my AS5253-BZ602 and got this one for myself. Both have been great purchases. Set-up was easy, there was some bloatware, but not an excessive amount.
