I know how to get her to speak about it, and I am going to explain to her how I think it would allow for us to develop a different and closer connection, but I would like to have some other supporting facts and details about how safe it really is first, before I have her read about the how tos and the dos and don'ts. Because she won't read about it otherwise. This isn't what she has told me, but I know her better than she knows herself- I listen so well, and she does love me for that.
She has also already admitted that I am correct about how she does have some sexual sensitivity down there.
I am willing to back off so long as I know that she made an informed decision. As I said, I had that idea about it as well but that changed with research. People get hyper-focused on certain details of things and never look at the full spectrum.
It mostly requires a bit more attention and cleanliness, but otherwise, when done right, posses no more of a health issue as vaginal sex.
Wikipedia is a great reference, but it lacks credibility due to anyone adding what they will. But I will look into the citations.
