is he even interested in me?

so im a sophomore and hes a senior. we have lunch and a study hall together. we dont really talk in school. only after school a few times and online chats and stuff. we walk home the same way and when i say hi or something he doesnt really keep up a conversation. btw. i walk home with my friend. But i've noticed that when i talk to him alone, he doesnt seem shy or anything. Like he actually seems like he wants to keep talking. And our messages online, well my friend says that she thinks he likes me and i will quote her "SOO CUTE! If I didn't know what was going on the I would say that he likes you, alot. You guys are just sooooooo cute!!!!!" and yeah. soo thats what shes thought. and my other friend says that he definitely likes me as a friend but she thinks he might like me a little more.

-I've noticed that when i wait outside my locker a little longer before lunch he tends to look back at me more and kind of expect me to walk past his locker or something.

-and when i pass him in the hallways sometimes he smiles at me (which he never used to do) or he looks like hes going to say something but keeps walking.

- When my friend says hi to him and then i say hi, he usually starts to talk to us, but then he usually ends up mumbling and walking off (which he doesnt do around me)

- one time he reminded me that we had something to go to for this club afterschool. and he was asking me if i was going or not or to this other club. and i decided the first one. and he was like waiting around for me after school to see what i was going to do. and then we ended up walking to the place with a few other people- not much talking just a few short things cuz everyone else was being quiet

do you even think this guy could be interested in me? at all?
