Should questions of Boxing and Wrestling be redirected to their respective categories?

Update:

@Jim R: Only extreme ping-pong though... None of that wussy table tennis garbage ;)

Things here depends upon the topic that's being discuss, because boxing and wrestling is also a Martial Arts, only they had been considered as combat sports.

But if we totally think about putting it in the right place, then they are welcome here but posting such on the correct section will make them acquire more response related to the subject about boxing and wrestling, since Yahoo Answers provide a section for them, then it is not healthy asking such on the wrong place.

I don't even know if the time will come that Yahoo Answers will provide a section for MMA, but since this issue had been suggested long time ago, but they didn't make any actions yet, I am expecting that said expectations will not going to happen anymore.

    . . . . . . . .

I have mixed feelings about this. I don't mind the Intelligent questions, they surely relate. I would prefer that the sports had their own section, so martial arts could be discussed more here. Putting martial arts in "sports" is way off base. That is like putting physics, or mathematics in "sports" where they clearly do not belong. As long as we have to put up with sports here, MMA etc. boxing and wrestling fit as well as the other sports. We might as well add ping-pong to martial arts too!

    edit: @ OC...agreed!

Matt and Jim have a point. Martial arts shouldn't be under the Sports category in the first place. Martial arts should be under the philosophy, or knowledge, or at least the recreation category. Boxing and wrestling are sports, but from a certain perspective they are martial sports, and since martial arts are categorized under sports on this website, I guess its O.K.

I believe both have their place in the martial arts section. I strongly believe (and wish) TV questions should and would be posted in an entertainment/television section and not here. Even as a sport, there is a difference between participating and watching. Too many people post about watching and not practicing, which is what the martial art section should be about.

I feel that boxing it really depends. For boxing if you want to know who would win between fighter a and fighter b go tto the boxing section, but for punch technique or miscellanous information that pretains here they should be welcome. For wrestling i feel should stay here, most actual wrestling greco-roman, freestyle, etc are martial sports/arts and should be kept here. that john cena, wwe/tna stuff should be redirected

No, few people in the Boxing section actually box. Even fewer in the wrestling section actually wrestle. Let them ask their questions here, they're much more likely to get an intelligent answer.

The wrestling section is mostly about pro wrestling (WWE). There's nobody in that section that is qualified to answer questions about real wrestling. So wrestling questions have their place in this section because people like me who actually have wrestled can answer their questions. Boxing has its own section, but I belive that it has its place here as well.

I agree with J about the TV questions. They dont belong in this section.

    in bag-mitten its ....

I agree with Jim and the others martial arts should have its own section in a non sport area.

and yes the should not have wrestling or boxing in it unless it pertains to martial arts. i just saw one that ask why to wrestlers not bleed in this section ugggg

i get annoyed at mma fans asking who will win a boxer or mma, if you ask in this section you will get mma wins if you ask in boxing it will be boxing.

Yes.... as in TMA are a holistic approach to living an aspect of which is fitness/sport etc But nobody(or mostly nobody) takes up a TMA to live or attend their life differently. There is a common ground for sure
