Why dont the solar companies start manufacturing safe mirrors for reflecting much more warm sunlight into liv?
I found out that there is safe mirrors already available that anyone can buy and mount in our yards or certain suitable locations to reflect much more sunlight toward our living quarters of homes and apartments.. Those safe mirrors are commonly bought for certain places like gymansiums, children centers , schools, etc.. Those mirrors are shatterproof and they are also useful for our solar energy programs .. Why are we so focused or tunnel visioned toward photovoltaics as if PVs is the only way we can harness solar energy ? Mirrors reflect over 90% of sunlight and they can be trained to point toward windows, sliding glass doors or even over skylights to heat indoors.. We can also use special solar furnaces that can receive concentrated sunlight from mirrors. Why arent we starting using such mirrors to help cut down our dependence on natural gas, heating oil, or electricity from coal and nuclear ,etc whenever the sun is shining. We can add automatic sun tracking devices to do the constant adjustments themselves without any of us having to trot outside to readjust them as the sun moves across the sky.. Sure, suntracking devices has to be computerized based on GPS and stuff to suit everybody's own location. This is not a simple thing to make which means it requires manufacturers to do so.. Why is our manufacturers still sitting on hands or even worse our government doing nothing with tax credits for such wonderful non-existentail products that we can have right now... Are we too overprotective of our fossil fuel industries??? Investors still believe that fossil fuel producers is the only energy providers we need for the forseeable future despite the increased potential of environmental damage that will happpen like in Arctic Ocean or other senstive locations that they are now after.. Should we stop the pace of our "crazy" fossil fuel producers with solar mirrors that are powerful enough to start taking lunch money away from them.. We should stop being so soft on fossil fuel investors and start giving them a run for their money!! Should we ? Safe mirrors are a very incredibly powerful energy source in terms of home heating that you traditionally receive from your central furnace or wall heaters or even fireplaces ... Safe mirrors are very incredible !!

Interesting idea. If you have time, it would be worth crudely prototyping what you propose. This might be cost-effective at cutting down a heating bill, it might not. If we gave up on the first crude selenium solar cells, we wouldn't be where we are today. If you have a passion for this, don't give in to the thinking that only a big manufacturer could do it. See how far you can get.
Speaking only for my house, I wouldn't get such a thing. In my area of California, heat is a matter of comfort but not survival. Even in winter, we don't turn on our heat during the day, unless you count early morning before the sun comes up. Once the sun is up, it's enough to just open the south-facing drapes and let the sun in to heat passively. Having a solar mirror setup in the yard would interfere with my garden. On the roof, I am in favor of a solar water heater, though.

The simple answer is that it's a niche market solution that's just not that practical for most things.
Yes you can use mirrors to warm the house when the sun is shining during the winter. But when it's cloudy they don't work very well so you still need some other form of heating. So now everyone has to pay for two heating systems, most will pick to simply skip the less reliable one.
Similarly you can use it for hot water but during the winter you'll still need a backup way of heating the water.
And the biggest in home power usage in the areas that are best suited to solar is often AC units, that's not something you can do with a mirror. Mirrors on the roof would help reduce that need but installing better insulation would be almost as good and far cheaper/lower maintenance (mirrors outside need to be cleaned).
Photo-voltaic systems aren't the most efficient use of solar power but they are by far the most flexible, electricity is fairly easy to move around and can be used for just about anything. Assuming you can only afford to install one solar system then it is by far the most logical one do go with. The only downside is that electricity it's hard to store in any quantity.
In fact the inability to store electricity is the biggest problem with most renewable sources, wind and solar aren't reliable 24/7 sources of power. Which means unless you want blackouts every time the wind dies or the over night you still need some alternative power source that can quickly be switched on to replace them, right now about the only practical solution for that quick on/off need is natural gas.

information on the instant is that assessment of pond airborne dirt and dust in England shows that the final ice age took in basic terms 6 MONTHS to ice over that land. So, could some application glitch take, say, 6 months to repair, then England is DOOMED, I tell ya, DOOMED! besides, it would take TRILLIONS of such mirrors, so which you're way off. the least complicated, maximum value-powerful approach is to decrease intake. specific, it would rigidity the finished international to alter the way it thinks, yet you are able to not assume to easily whiten the clouds or replicate sunshine and keep residing and eating as you do on the instant. you recognize, if human beings had to stroll or motorbike to their jobs or to procuring, they had have much less time for cavorting and might end that coming up familys of four, 6, 12, 18 little ones isn't of their superb pastimes.

Simple. If more people buy them then the maker will make more. No government needed.
