what is the difference between fiance and fiancee? I can never remember the difference.?

    My husband says that fiancee has an extra "e", because when it comes to weddings, it's all about the woman, so she gets all the extras - extra ring, extra attention, extra name!

    Fiancee is a female.

    Fiance is a male.

    Just remember 2 E's for a girl.

    Fiancee: female

    I always remember the difference on the spelling because female has two E's, like the word fiancEE.

    Yup. What the first poster wrote.

    It's a French word, and they add the extra 'e' to make a word feminine.
