App crashes, iPhone blinks black and returns to home screen instead of fade in iOS 5?

When an app crashes in an iOS 5 device, it blinks to black screen and the home screen appears, much the same old way as iOS 4. It was meant to fade to home screen in a transitional effect when an app crashes. Can you explain what was wrong?

the transitional effect will take place ONLY when the home button is pressed by you, closing the app.

if the app crashes, then it's going to end suddenly and not behave properly...and will thus not exhibit the same transitional fade to home screen effect.

    hope that helps.

Restarting your phone always helps. But I do have some advice, I just use the mobile website. To me, it's cleaner, not as clunky, and overall more enjoyable. I feel my videos load faster and it works better. Plus, I get the HQ option if I'm on wi-fi or not. I do not think the app allows you to do that, it just provides you the video quality based off your connection speed, so video on 3g is always bad quality. Maybe try opening up your background processes, and closing YouTube (and all other unnecessary apps). Then try to reload the app. Hope this helps.
