Already grown wisdom tooth hurting? 10 points!!!?
I got my left wisdom teeth taken out about a year ago, but not the other side. The dentist said it wasn't needed because they had already grown in, and I had enough room for them. Now, the very back right tooth is hurting my gums. At first it felt like a blister because it was sore, but it's hurting more. What could this be?
Thank you!

It is most likely an inflamed operculum. Sometimes the gum tissue covers a small portion of the wisdom tooth and if pieces of food get caught underneath it, it can swell and ache terribly. It is very easy for food to get trapped around wisdom teeth because they are so far back that usually there is a lot of gum tissue around them. Try swishing with warm salt water vigorously back there and flossing both the back side and between the last two teeth. I bet something got caught. Seeds, popcorn, and crunchy foods like chips are often the culprit!
