What guitar effect is this?
What guitar pedal reverses a note's sound. For example, when you pluck a string what guitar effect makes the sound of the note start soft then gain volume, as in reversing the note's sound.
Perhaps a violin style sound would help describe this effect.

Auto volume or volume swell. I know that the Line 6 M13 has an effect like this among it's delay models so I think it might be available on their other delay units (DL4 and Echo Park). These effects also have a reverse delay that plays phrases back backwards.
Last but not least, a volume pedal would achieve the same result manually.
