Ha long Bay 1 day trip?
Does anyone know where I can book (in advance) a day tour to Halong Bay. I don;t wnat to book it when we are there as I am may be disappointed.

Yes a few Vietnam agents have on-line sites where you can book.
From Hanoi it's a 4 houyr drive each way so you would only get an afternoon around part of the Bay for a couple of hours or so.
If you time it right with the right cruise company you may be able to get an included buffet lunch on board.
If you have longer time I would suggest going for the 1 night overnight on board cruise. This way the travelling to/from Hanoi doesn't seem so bad and you will see more of Halong Bay at http://www.halongtravelshow.com/ . The overnight cruise will include dinner/breakfast and sometimes a lunch(depends on cruise company - see more halong cruises http://www.luckyhalongcruises.com/ )
