I need help planning some music for an upcoming road trip my best friend and I are taking?
I like hard rock, which she hates. She likes indie/folk, which I can't stand. We have agreed that we wand upbeat driving music. Maybe some of you know some bands that we could check out? Maybe hard rock without any screaming, or some indie or folk music that has a heavier sound. Or any new music that we might like. All I know is that if I have to listen to Jack Johnson one more time I am going to cut my ears off with a pocket knife. Thank you in advance!

Hugo has a good mix of rock and folk/bluegrass. The red hot chili peppers have a wide range of music. Their new music is more mellowish compared to their others but i love all their songs. Mumford and sonis is upbeat folk indie. But check out hugos cover of 99 problems, its got that bad *** rock feel but with mandolins banjos and guitars.
