What's a good cologne for a guy in his 30's?

Question

I just wanted some people's opinions on what is a good cologne scent for a married guy in his 30's.   I'm not in the bar hopping/clubbing stage anymore, and I also don't want to smell like a high school kid who drowned himself in Axe.   

Just looking for some different scents to wear when my wife and I go out for our date nights.

Best answer is to try a sample of one of the best men's cologne out there.

It's possible, even the best colognes may STINK ON YOU, due to body chemistry.

Anything but Drakkar..or Eternity. Stay away from your G-Pa's cologne and go to the Dillard's counter to see the latest scents.

Sur la Mer's right, what smells good on some-one else may not be good on you. 
Davidoff CoolWater is nice though, go to a chemist and try them out for yourself
Make sure you wait for about 20 minutes for them to "settle" and if you still like it.

thats funny, i wear axe and girls are always like omgggg you smell so good! what do you wear?!? Ill ususally proceed to say something classy like oh its just michael germains or ill say something funny like its called sex panther haha. they believe me and then i just go haha sl*t... Honestly, girls cant tell the difference between axe and expensive stuff.
