Wife keeps killing car battery with plug in (cigarette lighter) heated seat.?

If you are handy, you could rewire the cigarette lighter to a part of the wire harness that is energized only when the ignition is on. A mechanic could do it for you, but you might not like the price.

There are portable jump starters that contain a motorcycle battery and can be recharged from a wall outlet, but that's probably not the solution you seek.

I am considering fitting one in my car, and I would take the cigar-lighter plug off it, and wire it into an 'after-ignition' circuit, so it can't drain the battery when the key is out of the slot.

You might try finding a plug in that has a switch on it and the seat plug in then plugs into it...
