I only watched 3 of her films "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya", "Humko Deewana Kargaye" and "Namaste London". All her roles were the same. And she was annoying.

she is not necessarily the best actress but she is considered to be one of the most popular heroines in the industry cause she has 17 hit films and 3 flops which is kinda amazing. to really know y she is considered to be on top u really have to look into her history and background by listening and watching her interviews. i am a huge fan and i admit she doesn't have as much acting skills as everyone else but she is really improving and i think this year of 2012 is going to be a big year for her cause she has got some more screen time in the roles shes doing compared to the movies she has done. i think she has done a great job in handling the way her career has pan out cause not only did she do big movies but she also has worked with most of the actors and directors in the industry so she has a lot of experience now compared to when she started out. also she is considered to be on top cause she was one of the primary actresses or maybe the only actress that is successful that wasn't born in india and a person from outside that didn't come from an industry based family like kareena kapoor. also she didnt realize she wanted to be an actress until she did her first film boom, which is understandable cause nobody in life really knows what's in store for them. after doing her first film she realized she wanted to continue acting especially in hindi films and since she couldnt speak hindi she had to learn and thats y it may seem like she can't act because being in her position she was limited in playing certain characters. the reason she probably took up those roles is because they were the only ones offered to her. cause imagine ur in a country where u cant speak the language but u want to be a bollywood actress ur not going to get the same roles as others cause remember its the entertainment business where it is really cut throat and it's common sense is y would a producer waste their time on someone who does't have acting experience and never the less doesn't speak the language fluntly. katrina also has said this herself tht if she know she wanted to be an actress she would have learned the language way earlier in life and would have been more active in learning to act. her hard work is what makes her one of the top actresses cause people who have worked with her have said tht is really focused and does everything she can to do a better job in each of her movies. also about that Salman khan thing...wtf.....they dated for lik seven years when she was just a model she didn't abandoned him after fame they broke up and needed a break to get over things. lol they doing a romantic/thriller movie this year "Ek tha tiger" and their still good friends even salman said that. hope i helped to you see y people love her cause she is really intelligent, down to earth and she constantly wants to get better and she doesn't focus on other people's work only on hers. seriously if u spend the time to watch her interviews u would be amazed at how she carries herself. and the fact she is absolutely beautiful is jus an added bonus because if she had a different face she is still katrina kaif she would have still be doing the same thing as shes doing now.
