Best restaurants on the Island of Kauai?
i booked a vacation for Kauai and so far everything is bought and paid for but now i don't know where to make reservations to eat at. the people im traveling with all appreciate good restaurants and its one of the main things we all look forward to. If anyone has been there before (because i have not, nor have they) could you share your thoughts and help me out? thank you in advance for your help.

I was in Kauai last September. These are my favorites:
Josslens in Poipu. You have got to go here.
Island Taco. If your driving to Wiameia canyon, stop at island taco. YUM
Roys, always outstanding
Uncles shave ice which is in the same shopping center as Josslens.
DO NOT go to the taco truck in Kaluia(near poipu). Awful.
Also the beach house is very good with some of the best views on the island, BUT it is way over priced. You pay a lot for that view and Josslens was far far better food.
One more tip, The Hyatt charges like $30 for two normal size cocktails, so buyer beware.
I just remembered another very good restaurant. Be sure to try Merrimans, also in the same shopping center as Josslens. Merrimans was featured on the food network recently because they were looking for an executive chef and they found one.

Hey welcome to Hawaii, ok? For best restaurant inna island of Kauai, up at top of most anybody list gonna be two place, Brenneke Beachside Fish Broiler, maybe best for fresh fish, and Roy's Bar and Grill. Now, neither these place gonna require suit and tie, but both serve what I think is Hawaii island cuisine at it best, ok? Hope this help, Peace and aloha to you!
