restaurant oysters - barnacles still alive!?

I took some fresh oyster shells home from the restaurant I work in, and there are barnacles still alive on the shells. I have put them in a bowl of salt water to see if this is possible. I did not expect anything, but I just caught one of them alive and want it to survive - what do i do? I live miles from the sea. Can they travel once, returned to sea water to a new location from the shell and survive? Help Please.

Update:

I don't want to eat them - I want them to live.

You definitely have some fresh oysters! I wouldn't worry a bit about the barnacles...you don't eat them anyway.
