What is your opinion on fluoride in drinking water?
Why do they put fluoride in our drinking water? Based on what Iv researched the only reason they put it in water is to prevent tooth decay. Im sure that all the other chemicals such as chlorine and others kill bacteria and take out contaminants. Putting it in our drinking water to prevent tooth decay is just plain wrong in my opinion. Thats mass medicating. I didn't ask to be medicated not to mention without even knowing it until now. Thats just plain wrong. I think that violates our rights. Yes there is evidence that it can prevent tooth decay but there's also evidence that it can do just the opposite and actually hurt our teeth. And there is proof that it causes damage to vital organs and can cause osteoporosis and Alzheimer disease. And is fluoride really necessary for tooth health? Im sure there are plenty of other natural ways to protect our teeth. Things like idk not eating a bunch of sugary junk. If people ate healthier diets and had good dental hygiene there wouldn't be need for fluoride in our water. And research shows that fluoride only helps prevent tooth decay when in contact with your teeth. not when ingested.
PS: Fluoride is an extremely toxic substance. Its used in animal poisons and nerve gas.

No one ever died from a lack of fluoride. I think it is a complete waste of taxpayer money, especially when it would be more cost effective to give out free tubes of toothpaste. Given that more than 95% of all tap water is used for things other than drinking, such as flushing the toilet, washing clothes, watering the lawn, etc. most of the fluoride added to the water does not touch a human, but goes straight down the drain and into the environment.
It's not lawful to dump fluoride into a river or even onto the ground. Technically, the EPA upper limit on fluoride is the most that can be dumped into the environment without causing noticeable ecological damage. The ADA's recommended dose exceeds the EPA's upper limit, and since it was noticed that a large number of children were being diagnosed with dental fluoridosis, the EPA recently halved its upper limit so that according to the ADA's own data, the amount of fluoride now added to water supplies is ineffective for the purpose of preventing dental caries.
So why is it still being added to our water supplies when there is no effective purpose?
It's the only legal way this toxic waste can be dumped at a profit. The super rich are smart. Duh. Why dump it in a river when you can sell it to toothpaste companies and water suppliers?
It doesn't actually help prevent dental caries even at the ADA's recommended dose, but that doesn't matter so long as people believe it does and are willing to tolerate their tax money being wasted on it. People have been fooled into believing it works, so they spend more money for a toothpaste that has it. It's the same reason people spend more money for a name brand product even though the only difference in it and a cheaper product is the price.
Fluoride is worse than snake oil because snake oil is actually harmless. People used to sell snake oil as a cure all, and people bought it because at least part of the time they thought it worked due to the placebo effect. But fluoride actually has been proven to lower I.Q. in children when it was added to their water.
Wait, what? You mean fluoride makes kids dumber? That could explain why test scores for U.S. students are amazingly low compared to other countries with no fluoride in their water.
Why would the super rich continue to push fluoride as a product knowing it actually causes harm? Don't they have morals? Is money really more important to to them than national pride? Well, how do you think they got to be the super rich?! They didn't get there by giving to charity unless it helped gain a tax break, that's for sure! Also, most of the companies owned by the super rich are multinational. They really do not care about the people or the country or even the company. Those are all expendable. They use their super wealth like a carrot and dangle it to control any politician we elect.
But there are also other side effects that make good reasons why the super rich want to continue to add fluoride to our water. It gives us poor health, which enriches them when we spend money to buy pharmaceuticals to make us feel better. It sedates us and makes us less likely to notice the corruption in our government or to be alarmed enough to do something about it even when it is shown to us. That's why a mere 1% of our country turned out for the occupy protests. Compare the percentage of people protesting the Vietnam war. This stuff makes people passive and easy to control.

anything is an toxic substance in too large of a dose. Water will kill you if you drink too much of it.
there is literally 0 evidence that water fluoridated to the 0.7ppm (part per million) has any effect other than helping teeth. If water is fluoridated too much, either the water is naturally high or manmade, then there can be problems. Believe peer reviewed research articles, not drivel on alarmist websites. It is fully supported by every recognized health organization in the world and is listed by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) as one of the top 10 health breakthroughs of the 20th century, along with the development of antibiotics and the eradication of smallpox through vaccines.
If people ate healthier diets it would be betterr for teeth--yes. 100% true. But the government, it has decided, has an obligation to try to keep Americans as healthy as possible and fluoridation is the most cost effective way to do so--costing on average 44 cents a person and saving hundreds of dollars for every dollar spent in prevention.
Fluoride both helps with in contact AND when it is ingested during the years when teeth are being formed.

12. Fluoride in the water as a means to make the masses compliant. This is a pretty weak form of mob control as it would require constant psychological influence and reinforcement to be effective. That is to say if it really works in that manner at all.
The ability to make one compliant enough to blindly follow one set of rules issued by those wishing to have the control makes sense to control masses of people, However if the substance in question makes the consumer this compliant they may just as easily fall prey to influence outside of the desired effect unless fail safes have been implemented. Fluoride has no such ability to affect the human brain to be that specific, to be influenced one way but unable to have their minds changed by different manipulations.
If one is easily influenced to be conditioned to behave a certain way due to Fluoride consumption, then those opposed to this form of mob control would easily find ways to influence those to act as they do with great success.
A number of conclusions can be obtained by this reasoning. One, and most likely, the desired effect of the Fluoride is not as effective as a mind control substance as some of those opposed to its use would have you believe. Two, those forcing the consumption of the fluoride on the masses are far better at influencing the masses than those opposed (meaning those opposed are bad at it, i.e.; you suck at this.). Three, those opposed to Fluoride as a means of mind control are somehow immune to its effects, which is quite a bold statement in itself as they have surly been exposed to it at some point, and in all likelihood still are. These individuals are most likely attempting to validate their guilty egotism with a clear conscience by presenting their opposition as a good faith attempt of protecting others, with the end game being a means to gain power and influence over others that they feel can suit their own agendas. Schemers.
There recently has been a bill introduced in the US that will, if passed, eliminate the introduction of all Fluoride into public water systems, there have already been dramatic reductions regulated by the EPA implemented very recently as well. Only two thirds of US water actually ever has had fluoride added to it. All of which was lower than unhealthy amounts per million, (Again this is also regulated to even smaller ppm now.)
In short, as a form of mind control (What the Nazi’s claimed and who believes those *******), fluoride is not very effective. It may and most likely does pose some health risk with long term exposure. It would be wise if those opposed to fluoridated water stick to the possible health risk it may cause. This allows for far more convincing and valid arguments than the ridiculous mind control conspiracy.
That’s about as effective of those wanting to legalize pot as medicine to smoke. There isn’t a responsible doctor on the planet that would prescribe smoking anything. THC has medical properties, smoking anything has none (All it does is damage to the body, mainly your lungs and throat). And once it’s smoke btw it’s no longer natural. Inhaling smoke is not what the human lung wants. If you want to smoke pot that’s fine but don’t dare call it medicine, you want to get high that’s your argument embrace that. Otherwise all you’re doing is slowing any progress of getting THC used as the real medicine with actual health benefits from ever seeing the light of day. Grow up hippies; no one listens to you because again you’re really bad at this.

well.. i think it is better for you teeth because generally americans have better teeth, and they have more fluoride in their drinking water.. ts a chemical in almost all tooth pastes so a little in water wont hurt. i genuinely think your over reacting and if you have a problem then go buy bottled water or something,, its not mass medicating its just the way things are and life unfair so putting up a fuss about water (which im just going to assume hasn't made you ill) is really unnecessary. doing a school project on this would be a good idea but raising hell over a chemical in water is just stupid..... im sure people with parasites in there water would be grateful for yours aha so stop moaning just drink it .,,, its not in an unhealthy..
dnt mean to sound annoying sorry.. but i would rather have american water over here because while i lived in america my teeth did become whiter over time. and i never got ill from having some water.

It's putting dentists out of work so they have to rely on cosmetic dentistry to pay the bills.
