Can't remember title or author of a children's horror book... please help me?

I've been looking for two stories for the sake of nostalgia, but I don't remember much about them. It was a long time ago.

I'm not sure if the series was Goosebumps (though I have tried to look and the summaries don't seem to match), but these were probably from collections of short stories. They may or may not be from the same book.

One of them involved a girl protagonist who has some kind of a beast outside her window. If I remember correctly, the animal/beast/thing can't come in without being invited, so it tries to get her to trust it. When she opens the window, it pretty much tears her throat out, and she dies knowing she got her family killed by letting it in.

The second is even more vague, but it involved a girl in (I think) a greenhouse, and one of the plants in it does something to people, I don't remember exactly what but I think it was cloning or something. That story ends with the girl getting pricked by the plant and dying as it makes a copy of her... or something... I just don't remember.

If anyone knows anything about these, I would be VERY grateful.

Thank you for your time.

The Baby-Sitter (Point Horror Series) book is amazing! It's about a girl named Jenny. She just got a baby-sitting job for a cute little boy named Donny. There have been baby-sitter attacks all over town but she takes the job anyway. Then one night(while she's at Donny's house)she gets a phone call. A whispered voice says " Hi Babes. Are you all alone in that big house? Don't worry, company's coming". It all goes down hill from there. She hears noises, feels fear and still gets more phone calls from a whispered voice on a phone. Everything is going wrong now. Then a creepy person from next door is found in the yard. What next? Then she finds out who it is but it's too late. In the end someone gets pushed over the edge(literally). This is one of the scariest but yet enjoyable books I've ever read. Read it today! I also recommend these books: The Baby-Sitter II, The Baby-Sitter III and The Baby-Sitter IV.

the only bell it rings with me is something revealed lots, lots till now than 1980: "Robins interior the Abbey" with the aid of Elsie Jeanette Oxenham. It become one in each and every of a sequence of books set interior the Abbey college, commencing with a team of ladies elderly 14-17 years outdated and ending with their little ones being approximately this age, which made it relatively diverse from different books of this manner, the place the little ones remained forever on the comparable age!
