Are you allowed to post articles on your website and other sites?
I just started my own golf website. I will be posting articles that I have written on my site and would like to post those same articles to articles directories. I was told that google will penalize you for having the same article on different sites. But it shouldn't because it is mine own article, which will be original. Can someone please tell me?

Yes, this is still duplicate content if it is on your site and on article directories, which Google hates. You are better off getting different articles written for article sites, then you can link back to your site. There is always the option to "spin" your articles so that they are a bit different, but I am an advocate to just create as much good 100% original content as possible. Content is king on the Internet.

It would be better to put one article on a site then a different article on the next site etc
