Wave maker in 10 gallon aquarium?
Hi, I have a 10 gallon tank, with 8 neon tetras, and I was wondering if it would be appropriate if I invested in a wave-maker in the 10 gallon freshwater tank. Is it safe to use a saltwater wave maker in a 10 gallon freshwater tank? Thank you in advance.

Seems like over kill. If you take a small amount of water out most hang on back filters will keep water moving. Or a bubble bar.

Uhhh, no. Don't do that. The fish you have don't need it and it would likely just stress them MORE.
8 Neon's in a 10 gallon? Not many fish species can go in 10 gallons and NO TETRA'S can. Neon Tetra's should NEVER be in less than 20 gallons. They require very stable levels which a 10 gallon can't even offer.
They are also VERY active fish and 10 gallons just don't offer enough room for a heavily planted area and a large open swim area. I feel 9-10 actually stock a 20 gallon. Please research before buying.

1. no, there's no need for a wave maker, and it would be bad for the fish
2. invest in a good filter, like a Penguin or AquaClear
3. you do not need anything else for water flow etc.

If you don't mind mopping the floor. Why would you want to do that? Not logical.
