Is la noire boring or not?

The game-pace in L.A. Noire is similar to that in the Fallout and Scroll-games (=slow).

However in L.A. Noire you get to drive around a beautifully rendered city environment in classic cars. You also do car chases, gunfights, tailing missions, and have old-school fist fights.

Plus did I mention you have awesome cars to drive around in, in a beautifully rendered city environment ?

People write bad reviews of the game because they mistake it for a regular action game or a shooter, its neither: its an investigation game, you play a Cop/Detective - not a soldier, villain or mercenary. Of course the game is a bit slow - the whole point of the game is to investigate things, not just shoot people.

Eventhough the gameplay L.A. Noire is quite slow it actually suits the game, its a nice game to relax and have fun with. I've played through it twice and can see myself doing more replays of it. To each his own as always.

What's boring is subjective, the Fallout and Elder Scroll games were extremely boring to me becaue they were too slow and for 100+ hours you do the same type of missions and face the same type of enemies over and over, and none of the characters have any personality.

The gun fights are pretty often and yes it does have free roam... that is a good way to start learning how to play. If your into investigation games and things like that, it is perfect. I personally love this game!

l. a. Noire is surprisingly lots a similar start to end. (purely distinction is that subject will enhance as you proceed) Theres some vehicle chases that are exciting, and that they are used generally sufficient in my view to offset the grind of detective artwork. Theres some shootouts in a while and such, yet not completely long. wish that helps

it has free roam but you are very limited on what you can do besides doing side jobs or the main story

i however do recommend it, it was a really fun game to play

It's not that great. If your on ps3 try playing infamous, fallout or skyrim.
