If you answer a question that gets reported does that also mark your answer as such?

A bit curious as I just got an email saying my answer was reported, but I can no longer find that question posted; I get the message question has been deleted when i go to its page.

Update:

Thanks, that made a bit of sense. I was hoping I could check to see if the question was asked in the correct category- as the questions nature is required to be put in a specific category. I, however, made sure that I was fully adhering to the rules. Just that I have been getting tired of random answers always being reported- stupid trolls- so I am dong everything that I can to try to get the reporters banned instead of others. But can only do something when they have acted against me first.

Update 2:

I will clear this up a bit more, even though I don't think it will alter the answers too much- I was trying to avoid putting full details in as I fear people will focus on that and not what I am asking- as people often do.

The question asked was a one of adult nature- but not sexually explicit- as per the rules, this content is suppose to be asked only in the areas marked as adult. I answered the question as best that I could and only attempted to answer the question. I didn't type anything that was against the guidelines. My answer was required to be in adult nature as the question itself was. I think someone reported the question and any answer that was with it because they were offended- or just being trolls- but because they can get by with the fact that it was against the rules.

I have looked but I didn't see anything that was placed requiring the people answering the question to make sure that such questions were put in the correct place before answering.

An answer isn't automatically a violation when the question ends up getting reported and deleted. But when answering questions that are violations, it's not unusual for the answer to also be a violation. But it's not automatic. When a question is deleted for violation, of course all the answers are deleted as well. If you received an email violation notice, then that was because your answer was a violation. Your answer had to have been reported before the question was deleted.

Just as a clarification, if your answer simply stated that the person should have posted their question in a different category, that IS a violation. An answer must actually attempt to answer the question FIRST. You can then add that more/better answers might be gotten in another category, if you want.

    No.

Reporter trolls reported your question/answer for being a chat violation of the community guidelines. You should appeal the violation. Open your e-mail in box and scan for a "Your question/answer has been reported by..." header. That's a violation notice. Open the message. Toward the bottom of message there's a hyperlink that will take you to the appeal form. Click the top button. In the Details box, type "Exactly HOW does this question/answer violate the CG in ANY way? Submit the appeal. When you win the appeal, your question/answer will be restored.
