NBA Trade Machine.. Would Shumpert and Amare for D-Will work for both the Knicks and Nets?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=...
Without a doubt this would be a blockbuster trade, and I think it benefits both squads. First of all NJ needs talent and they would certainly get it in this trade. They would have a brilliant "Core Four" of Amar'e Stoudemire, Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks and Iman Shumpert, as well as another potential early draft choice (Harrison Barnes, Jared Sullinger, Jeremy Lamb). They also wouldn't have to worry about Amar'e leaving because he is locked into his contract, and the other three are at least 4-5 years from unrestricted free agency and won't be able to leave the Nets either.
As for the Knicks, it is evident that Stat & Melo was definately a mistake. This deal will improve the quality of this year's ball club both on offense and defense. A trio of Deron Williams, Carmelo Anthony, and Tyson Chandler will work better. The Knicks would finally have that pure point guard they have been looking for, Tyson would play better, and Melo and D-Will are definately a better fit than Stat and Melo, as well as D-Will being the better player.
Lastly when the Nets head to Brooklyn, what a rivalry this would be. The bad blood between the Knicks "backstabbing" Stat, and the battle for NYC would be insane. I think this is too good not to happen, what are your thoughts on it.
@XLR8
The Nets would be out of a star for now, but Marshon Brooks definately looks like a future star, and Shumpert is just oozing potential Westbrook with the Knicks. Also they'll probaly have an early draft choice this season, and would have one of the most talented young teams in the NBA like how the Bulls and OKC developed over time. Even though I'm a Knicks fan I think this trade would benefit the Nets much more for the long term.

It would work for the Knicks but Nets would still be out of a star for combo team work. Knicks might start winning games but Nets would be still in a hole.

According to the link, it failed, but I think Amar'e would be good anywhere. Lopez & Iman are good benifits to a team, D-Will's still young & has really established hiself yet, & Melo should've stayed in Denver. Both NJ & NY suck this year compared to previous years, so they need these guys.

As a laker fan it rather is actual the magnificent available situation, I havnt complete the salaries massive distinction even though evidently like it may paintings. i understand Lowry desires out of Houston and coach Kevin Mchale particularly desires Pau gasol. so because of the fact it rather is a diverse hazard. As for the Orlando commerce, i admire that besides, yet i think of of they could choose extra advantageous appropriate than Blake, Orlando may well be very stingy on determining to purchase and promoting Dwight.
