Which colleges accept students with PSAT of 220 & an unweighted GPA of 3.5?
Student is a high school junior, Hispanic male. He attends a competitive high school with an average SAT score of about 1700, where 3-4% of the junior class makes National Merit Semifinalist.
Presently, taking 5 AP classes (Chemistry, Biology, English Lang., AP US History, & Computer Science II) and honors Physics and honors Pre Calculus.
Sorry for the confusion, but 1700 is the average High School SAT score not his SAT score. His expected SAT score is 2200-2300 that corresponds to his PSAT score, as a National Merit Semifinalist.

it is not a sub par sat score and that score will get a lot of financial aid.

PSAT by itself means nothing and National Merit is only a minor factor in the application process, definitely not enough to make up for an average GPA or a subpar SAT score. GPA average for most schools, course load rigorous, but SAT average too low for even private schools. Public schools for sure since minority card and other stats will be satisfactory. 1800 is usually the cut-off for the lowest tier of private schools. Class rank may also factor in if that high a percent of students get National Merit.
