What happened to my Wii and TV??

I recently got a new game for my birthday, and it's sorta not going alright. When I turned on my Wii and TV,The TV said "No Programs Are Shown",even though my Wii was turned on,connected. I checked and every wire was connected. Which one is broken????????/ I even clicked through some different channels to see which one is right, and still the note came back.

The Wii uses composite a/v cables or component cables. Check to make sure your TV is set to Video3, or AV1, or Component1, or something similar.

Did you try any other auxillary sources? Some TVs come with other auxillary options.
