SKYRIM: Do I have to keep the books after I learned the spell?

The reason I ask is I have too much weight and I would like to drop some things. Can I drop the books after I learn there spells? Of course I kn ow that they have value, but assuming I am not concerned with that.

The books automatically dissipate after being learned. I'd suggest buying a house in white run and storing dragon bones and scales there

When you read a spell book, the book vanishes. All other books can be sold after you have gained the skill point from them. If you need the book for a quest, the game will not let you sell it or drop it. But if that is the case, the book weighs nothing, even if it says it does. Same with all other "no drop" items.

You can keep them and sell them if you want, or just buy Breezehome in Whiterun to store all of your books/weapons/ingredients/etc.

This video will show you how to buy Breezehome (and get it for FREE if you want)
