I personally go to UT Arlington, for engineering, and the courses can be very challenging. We put in a lot of hours working on course work and different projects -- starting freshman year. The college of engineering is growing, this past year the university completed work on a new Engineering Research Building and they are going to add the B.S. in Biomedical Engineering.

The core requirements for engineering at UT Arlington: Calculus 1, 2 and 3. Calculus Based Physics 1 and 2, Chemistry for Engineers (or General Chemistry 1 and 2), then you have English, History, etc. Everything else depends on your field of interest (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, etc)
