Literary Poll: Last book you read that was considered a "Classic"?

I read all the time, but don't read many of what are considered "classics".

I currently, however, am reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and am enjoying it.

Thanks for your answer.

Tropic Of Cancer, for about the fifth time. I much prefer classics. I most of my reading comprises classics, parrot-related (which can be a lot of subjects, such healthy foods), or music-related. I guess a lot of nonfiction and some classics.

    It was bomb.

As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. A true classic in my eyes. A great book I always find myself picking up.

I finally finished Les Miserables a few weeks ago, which took me about a year. Since then, I've been tearing through modern pop fluff like literary cheetos.

    I enjoyed that book too.

The last "classic" was probably Hamlet. Poor Hamlet, he's kind of pathetic...I felt sorry for the guy. He's annoying when he takes so long to die though lol.

    Mornin Abbs,

I most enjoy the classics, well some anyway. One of my fave authors is Hemingway and I'm reading "The Sun also rises" but it isn't a fave of his for me.
