Some intenet pages not loading/loading incredibly slowly?
I have a school laptop which has a proxy that blocks some sites(even on home internet). A lot of the time, even on unblocked sites, it will take ages to load a page or it won't load at all. I've tried different browers and ran bout 4 different spyware/anti virus programs. These included SUPERAntiSpyware, AVG Anti Virus, Microsoft Security Essentials and MalwareBytes.
I downloaded a file which was probably a virus and I cannot access internet options due to admin restrictions.
As already stated, I can't go into the internet options..
and I also have not damaged it, its been kept in good condition in a case, havent dropped it once.
It's not my internet speed, I'm at 2.5mb/s wireless broadband.
My drivers and hardware are configured correctly, the internet on this laptop was working good once before and I have 4gb of DDR3 RAM, I don't have insufficient RAM.
I defrag my disk often and makes no difference.

If all sites are slow all the time, even for the speed of your Internet connection, then you should check and make sure that you have the proper modem configuration, hardware connections, driver and connection installations, and other options. You can check with your Internet Service Provider for correct connection settings. If you are hearing a lot of disk activity during the times that the response is slow, you may need to defragment your disk, or you may need more RAM memory, which is often one of the best ways to speed up a computer.

hello Jamie, few reasons because of which you might be facing this problem are:
1) you may be visiting those website which contains too many pictures, animations, or video etc.
SO EITHER TURN OFF LOADING OF IMAGES OR TRY TO VISIT THOSE WEBPAGES WHICH
SIMPLE AND CONTAINS MORE OF TEXT.
2) Get a good internet connection with high speed downloading.
AND BEST OF ALL WHY DON'T YOU INSTALL A NEW WINDOWS.
Hope is works
