Lord Voldemort's death stopped progress?
Think about this
Some compare him to Hitler
BUT!!!!!!!!
Hitler was really evil because in reality, we are all the same regardless of color of skin
BUT in harry potters world
Wizards were far superior, they had magic
If wizards were to show muggles their powers they could show them ways to improve their life quality
Sure, they could not do magic by themselves
But wizards could create useful tools for them to use
Wizards spent 90% of time and resources preventing and hiding from muggles
If they were to come out and show themselves
They could fully take advantage of their magic to build better cities, hospitals(they could help muggles GROW BACK THEIR BONES AND LIMBS)
They could make the world a better place with their magic
They could even marry among themselves and eventually everyone would be a wizard after years
Ok now , voldemort had this pure blood ideal i know, but if you look at it, it would benefit everyone in the future

I think if it happened, it would just create more problems. There is too much pride on either side. For instance, would the muggles even want to be with wizards? If they knew of their existence quite suddenly, they would probably be taken aback in fear, and then seek to separate themselves because of that fear. They wouldn't want to mate. Wizards too wouldn't want to either. Either side wouldn't want to be exterminated, I think, through the generations. Muggles have growing technology, which would eventually lead to a clash with magic, and would probably end up in a giant war lol Of course, both sides could help each other, and wizards could help muggles and such, but if there is too much pride and fear on both sides, I don't think it would end well. One side would eventually lose, and lose everything at that.

But muggles have sufficiently advanced technology.
Remember the moving pictures in the wizard newspapers? We can pretty much do that now. The paper airplanes in the Ministry of Magic? Email is faster. Flying cars? Expensive, but we know how to do it. How long will it be before the wizards are the ones begging to be let into muggle society?

Nice, if it were not fiction.
Actually, wizards in real life know one thing - magic costs! Not just money, but life energy. Most muggles would never pay the cost of having magic done for them. Yes, magicians could grow back bones and limbs, but the cost of doing so is very high.
Fixing one person might mean taking the life from another person, or leaving them in worse shape than the person who got fixed.
Would magic make the world a better place? not very likely!
