HELLO THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHO FILED !! I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS IRS INFO, REFUND INFORMATION DO NOT UPDATE UNTIL EVERY WEDNESDAY ( THAT'S A FOR SURE FACT ) IF YOUR REFUND STILL SAYS PROCESSED AND YOU DON'T SEE A MESSAGE THAT SAY YOUR REFUND IS SCHEDULED AND YOU WILL RECEIVE IT BY THE FOLLOWING MONDAY THAT'S MEANS YOUR NOT GETTING IT FOR SURE AND IF YOU DO SEE THIS MESSAGE I PROMISE YOU IT WILL BE IN YOUR ACCOUNT FRIDAY BEFORE 12PM SOMETIMES MIDNIGHT, NOW YOU CAN TELL ME IM WRONG BUT I BEEN WORKING WITH THIS FOR 4 YEARS SO I KNOW HOW IT GOES AND MOST TIMES PEOPLE WHO FILE TO EARLY YOUR TAXES ARE ONLY DELAYED BECAUSE THEY DON'T BELIEVE MOST PEOPLE GET THEIR W-2 INFO THAT EARLY SO THEY MAY HAVE YOU FAX OR MAIL IN COPIES ... BEST OF LUCK AND AGAIN IF YOUR MR SAYS SCHEDULED YOU WILL GET IT THAT FRIDAY MONDAY AND NOT A DAY BEFORE OR AFTER !!

I also had a date of the 25th with HR Block and was really nervous when I kept calling and was told

there was $0 on my card. When I checked the IRS website yesterday it said that my refund was

processed and I should have it by Jan 31st. When I checked the website today it said that my

refund is scheduled to be direct deposited on Jan 30th. It never said anything about a processing delay like some other posts have said. I've read all the answers on this post and have not seen anyone else that said that they were given a deposit date by the IRS on the website. Wondering if anyone else

has gotten that message with an earlier date than Jan 30th. Just trying to figure out if that will be accurate or if I will be pulling my hair out next Tuesday.

I received the same notice from Tax Slayer. The refund cycle chart originally said Jan. 25, but a new one posted that states Jan 26. It's Jan 26, and still nothing. The only refund I received today was my state. It's Thursday at 10am EST, and still no refund. When I talked to my bank Wednesday the 25th, they told me that federal refunds generally only get deposited on Fridays and Mondays. Let's all hope it's Friday! This is all bull and in the 15 years or so I've been e-filing, the cycle chart has always been right. Good Luck everyone.

I received this message this morning:

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays. You should receive your refund by February 21, 2012. Please wait until that date to contact us again because we cannot take any action until then. Thank you for your patience.

Please read the following information related to your tax situation:

    Tax Topic 152, Refund Information

This comes after my expected refund date was January 31, 2012. I filed on the 17th and was accepted the same day. My wife, however, still shows an expected refund date of January 31st. So I'm not sure how some people are affected while others were not. I'm holding out hope like everyone else, that my refund will arrive much sooner than the 21st of Feb.

UPDATE: After reading different posts from different sites, I called hr block and was told that my dd was scheduled for 1/30/2012. I asked if their website was synced with the irs site, they assured me it was.

Right now the IRS is stating they are having delays (we know this). This is why it was pushed back, I hear they are trying a new system where they will refund on wed, thurs, and fri. The vast majority of us are having a problem though because not only is the irs having a delay but the reason this is causing more of a headache for TaxSlayer Users is, They say you're accepted on the taxslayer website but in reality you're not accepted from the IRS. Like i said i talked to the IRS and they said they don't know why it says i was accepted the 19th, when the IRS accepted me the 24th. So with that being said, taxslayer said i was accepted when i wasn't so that put me off 5 days and now the IRS is having a delay so for some taxslayer users this will account a 2week delay because of software and irs. That's a combo headache. The reason hr,turbotax and other software are having an issue is because of the general irs tax delay (happens every year). I think most likely the taxslayer software accepts you and says you are accepted but it's just the case of the site accepting your information and submitting the files to the irs, so it's like invalid communication from taxslayer...To respond quicker then most software to manipulate a quicker response..

I spoke with an agent at the IRS and she told me that there was a delay and that I should not expect it until Feb 3 at the latest. Then I called H & R Block and they told me that they are processing them and I should get my refund on Jan 31, which is also what the IRS website says. I was also told the reason was because they had more people e-file returns than anticipated and it crashed their system. I am not sure why that would happen. As many people as there are that are out of work and looking forward to that money for bills, etc.

On the phone with the IRS basically what I am getting is that my refund is there and being processed but they have no comment beyond that. The lady says they are having delays so to expect the refund 3 to 4 weeks after the day of acceptance. Other than that they have no estimates as to when refund batches will be going out due to delays.

SAME BOAT! Filed before the 17th, accepted on the 17th...REALLY, REALLY DEPENDING ON THAT MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT AND THIS DELAY IS MESSING ME UP. Unfortunately, Im not like some of these rich folk who don't have to live paycheck to paycheck. I see a lot about "TaxSlayer" and everyone receiving a message about the delay.

DID ANYONE USE H&R BLOCK? I use them online, e-file myself for free...via the IRS Free File link...H&R Block has not sent out any notice of the delay..just curious.

So WMR still says if no errors, will have by 31st...which from what I read sounds that we are all or mostly can expect it by next Tuesday the 31st or Wed the 1st???

As a single mom of 2 kids...who PAYS MY TAXES resistantly...as a good little American should (BS!) lol....I would like my money back IRS! The sooner the better.

I filed my taxes with taxslayer on Jan 13 and it was accepted by the IRS the next day. I was told I would receive it today, but then got the same email saying that it was delayed. So I talked to a lady from the IRS over the phone. She told me that the refund cycle chart that everybody is relying on this year is wrong and that refunds will be deposited on Friday. She said that she was also told she would get hers today, but didn't and expects it Friday. The IRS website says Jan 31. Soooooooooo pissed off when I woke up and DIDN'T see my refund. I'm expecting it by the 31st, hopefully Friday. AHHHHH!! (anger)

My gram owns a tax preparation company(its 50+ years old) and she hasn't received any type of notification yet about this

EDIT: "WATSONVILLE, Calif.- It's news you don't want to hear. It could take longer to get your tax refund this year.

Turbo Tax and H&R Block said problems at the IRS are causing big delays.

The IRS started its e-file system two days late. Usually it starts on Jan. 15th, this year it was Jan 17th.

Now for those people who have filed, they're going to this site(https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetsta... to check the status of their refund and getting an error message.

That's because of an unplanned outage of the IRS e-file system.

Companies like H&R Block and Turbo Tax are letting customers know via Facebook and in-person about the e-file issues.

H&R Block's Central Coast district manager in Watsonville told Central Coast News Wednesday, he sees quite a few people filing their taxes early, especially families.

The delay is putting refund's behind schedule. For example, if you filed your taxes on Jan. 17th, you should expect to see a refund Feb. 1st, a week later than normal.

"We try to explain before they start doing their taxes. We give expectations and we try to explain what the IRS is doing this year, so that when we do the return they aren't shocked or surprised," said Fernando Paco.

Even when the IRS fixes the problems in e-filing, you could still be waiting longer to get your refund, that's because funding to the agency has been reduced the past two years.

Right now, the IRS said it is unable to answer three out of ten calls from taxpayers.

There is some good news. Changes to the tax codes could get you some more money when you do file.

First, for every dependent you claim the credit is increasing from $99 to $315.

Next, you can continue to put money into an IRA all the way through April 17th of this year, and that will be included in your 2011 tax return. The deadline used to be December 31st.

Finally, there are new stimulus fund credits good for one or two years. This year those include people who attend community college and trade schools. In the past, credits included first-time home buyers and energy efficient home improvements. "

SECOND EDIT: I went to IRS.GOV and used Wheres My Refund. My original date was set for Feb 1st(I was processed on the 19th I believe)

    "Refund Status Results

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Unless there is a processing delay or you owe other taxes, you should receive your refund by February 7, 2012."
