How can I take long exposure photos with Canon T3 (1100d)?
I brought a brand new canon t3 to the nowhere and dont have its manual at hand. Can anyone tell me which mode to select, which settings, etc? I want to shoot night sky/stars with tripod

Since you are wanting to do the night sky/stars, you will need to use the "bulb" mode (b). The problem doing that is the shutter will stay open as long as you hold the button down, BUT this can introduce shake/vibration from your finger on the button. The best thing to use is a shutter release cable.
