What to do with this friend I like?
I"m gay. I have a straight friend. We'll call him A.
I keep asking A to come visit and hangout. He did once. He knows I have a guest room and I keeeep inviting him over. He always says "yeah I have to soon".
It seems like when I do hear from A, he keeps mentioning this mutual friend named M and how they just took a work trip together and that he's so funny.
I"m not sure what to say when A says this to me. It's salt on the wound cuz I want to hangout with A and A just keeps telling me that he either bumped into M or hung out with M.
What would you say to A?

When you invite him over, are you saying, "You should stay over again some time" or are you saying, "Do you want to stay over this Friday night?" If it's the first, you are asking a general question so you are setting yourself up for a general answer. Get specific, if you aren't already. If he says no, ask what night is good for him. If you keep getting the brushoff, then clearly this friend doesn't want to stay over at your house.

Maybe explain to your friend that if stays over with you that he won't be woken up in the middle of the night to find you bumfucking him.

umm i would stop trying to invite him over. first of all he's straight, second of all, he doesn't seem interested in hanging out, so why be trying so hard to get his attention? id just move on
