He won the marathon at the 2008 United States Olympic Trials and placed tenth in the Olympic marathon in Beijing. He holds the U.S. record in the half marathon (59:43). With his half marathon record time, he became the first U.S. runner to break the one hour barrier in the event.[ Now He is going to be in the 2012 Olympics running the Malathion do u think he has a chance to win the whole thing from start to finish?

I have been watching Ryan Hall since his junior year in high school. He has produced some incredible times recently in the marathon like his 2:04:58 at the Boston marathon last year. I would love to see him win the gold medal in London. However Kenya seems to be so deep in marathon talent that I think Ryan would be lucky to win a bronze medal.

His chances of winning the gold are slim at best.

His chances of winning a medal are not very good.

There are too many elite runners with much faster times than any American runner so that would mean that something would have to happen to cause them to run poorly for any American to win a medal.

I can see one or two runners having problems, but it is not likely that something would affect only non American runners.
