i haven't really read a book for a long time, but my favorite series used to be The Roman Mysteries and Trixie Belden

JIms Butcher's Codex Alera is awsome http://www.jim-butcher.com/books/alera. Just finished reading the series for the 2nd time. I'm currently reading his other series The Dresden Files and I'm on book 13. Good stuff. You will get the inevitable recommendation of the hunger games. Ya it was decent but I read it in like 4 days, its about a 6th grade reading level.

I just started The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (It's the third in a series) but otherwise, I don't read many series-books. I spend SO MUCH time in the Barne's and Nobles classics section.

The Gone Series by Michael Grant, and the Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins. :)

I'm in between Pet Sematary by Stephen King, just because it's a gripping novel and on some levels I could totally relate, and the biography I Slept With Joey Ramone by Mickey Leigh. I couldn't stop cry after I finished the Joey Ramone biography. It was... wow. So was Pet Sematary, but on a different level.

I'm reading Queen of the Damned right now. I didn't think I would like the Vampire Chronicles so much, but I actually really enjoyed the first two books.
