R&P: Do you find that more rock fans hate hip hop/rap, or more hip hop/rap fans hate rock?

I see an awful lot of anti-hip hop/rap comments in this section, like "'what's your favorite/least favorite genre', 'REAL rock like Guns n Roses/Metallica/AC/DC (idk pick one), and I hate rap'" etc. I don't really know much about the other side, but it just seems like there's a lot of close minded rock fans.

Definitely the first one. So many rock fans seemed hellbent on telling everyone that hiphop isnt an art and it sucks or whatever. Well i think they see hiphop as Lil Wayne and thats not fair. That like hiphop fans seeing rock as Nickelback or something

Well it depends on what types of rock you listen to I suppose and if you are too open minded about music. I don't like rap that is like sexsexsexbootaysex but I like old Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit and they have major hip hop elements.

    BQ: Territorial Pissings - Nirvana

    BQ2: Shuffle

EDIT: Oh, and about the other side, I have met people who like both simply because of the bridges that cross between hip hop and rock, but other people who have never bothered to listen to any form of rock and just complain about it sucking for no reason. This can also be seen from the rock side though, because they have only heard the radio garbage, and not the stuff that has actual meaning.

I think it depends on the people you're around. Like this is a forum about Rock & Pop (not so much as pop though). ROCK & Pop. So of course more people are going to love Rock music. And you know how people are on the internet, they're pretty close-minded-__-

Well, in real life, most of my friends listen to Hip-Hop. They ALL hate Rock, and criticize a lot of **** I listen to-__- It's really annoying. So for me, it would be more Hip-Hop fans hate Rock, but it might be switched around for other people.
