Is Michel Sulayman the greatest president of Lebanon since Fouad Chebab ?

I feel he is the clue that keeps Lebanon in place and if anything happen to him this country will go to complete chaos and civil war, I hope he stays president forever.

The Lebanese constitution needs to be revised and sectarianism needs to be dropped if we ever hope to get a president of the quality of Chehab. Chehab knew how to handle situations and kept things together. Chehab however had to deal with very different circumstances, and every circumstance has a different set of action that ought to accompany it. We don't know if Chehab would be effective right now if he were president. But as previously mentioned, we cannot compare presidents now with those that came before the Taif.

Our country needs fixing if we ever hope to rise again and with all due respect to Michel Sleiman, it's not going to happen during his reign. He's not to blame though because he's been elected during a fairly awkward time during Lebanon's history.

Well I'm not sure about that to be honest.

He's a good guy but I don't agree with you, the country wouldn't go to complete chaos of he's not the president , well I guess in few years he's not gonna be president any more so will see what will happen then

We can't compare presidents before taeif with president after it.. But after taief president become a nickname more than a real president.. So the person who will be president after taeif should have a strong personality... But this is not the case with sleiman.. Maybe he is a good person... But defenitly the worst president ever :(

no he is not .... He is just a ''2ijr kirseh'' like others ... I am a deeply sorry but this is the truth ...

because of the ''ta2ef'' the lebanese president have a really minimal role and authority .....

But he is not alone .... Every president will be like that if they don't change the ''ta2ef'' agreement ...

in my honest opinion, even though it was pretty short, bachir gemayel would have been the best president...and that because he took no **** from no body...too bad he didn't live through to fulfill that potential, i guess we would never know...as for president Michel Sleiman, im dont really agree with you, i still dont see any good yet...not saying isee bad things...i still think lebanon is going through the same path and nothing has changed...unfortunately for our country its not the president who rules its the people below him who have the final say

No one person can hold a country together indefinitely & it's not a healthy position for a country to be so reliant on any one individual...

Time will tell what sort of a Presidency he has....
