C50 Boulevard C50 coolant hoses?

My '05 Suzuki Boulevard just crossed the 30,000 mile mark. Went to my local dealer to ask if now would be a good time to replace the coolant hoses. He said that, although he would like to make the sale, the hoses are still just fine.

Thought I would come here for a 2nd opinion. Thanks.

How often do you replace the hoses on your car? Certainly not every 30,000 miles! Many motorcycle parts wear out faster than the equivalent automotive parts. Radiator hoses aren't among them, though. As with the hoses in your car, you can test them easily: Just give them a firm squeeze, and if you can collapse them significantly, they have softened too much from age.

i really dont know, i need to take a look at the hoses.

ask him when you should come back

ask him apprx. how many miles you have left on the hoses.

If you want to be extra cautious you could replace them anyway, but if he says its fine than most likely its fine.

you can go to another garage for a second opinion...
