@Glass Cup - Nuclear pays for itself. It is only the government regulation that creates that triples the cost. That is not in materials. It is in 6 years of cost before you start construction.

Yes, he is promoting "Trickle Down" economics. The only difference in Obama and Reagan is that Reagan wanted and got Private Investment. As a result or reward, there were tax cuts to those who invested. This tax cuts did in fact raise revenue to the United States Treasury.
Obama, on the other hand is borrowing against our future by having The Federal Government do the investing. While this should create jobs, the problem is that history is showing these investment are failing. Just look to Solydra for a recent and perfect example.
Again, President Reagan gave private investors incentives and rewards for risking capital toward investments. The result was job creation for all, and wealth creation for investors. Obama is rewarding no one, except his own past supports and his liberal base. No one in the Private Sector will ever reap any rewards from what Obama is requiring The Federal Government to invest in.
If these industries were worthy of investment, there is no doubt, individuals would be investing, and making money in these industries and business. The trick is to invest in businesses that are viable, and will make money. Too many of the investments supported by Obama are not only not "Money Makers" but are actually repeated failures.

The tragically misnamed, "trickle down economics," refers to an economic theory that focuses on the benefits to economic activity from stimulation of productivity rather than demand for products.
Using government to fund one particular industry is not engaging in trickle down theory. To be true trickle down, it has to promote widespread productivity. What you describe is favoritism directed toward a single industry.

Even if he did support voodoo economics, which I think we all know he doesn't, you would still find a way to demonize him. You know, Bush made a huge push to fund renewable energy too - most people acknowledge that we will need new forms of energy by the end of the century and the government has a pretty good track record of spurring innovation through investment in new industries. Where do you think computers, duct tape, rocket engines, and all sorts of other fun gadgets started out as? Newt Gingrich will gladly tell you every time he goes out to defend his support of a moon base.

If the green jobs go like Solyndra the money is just trickling to the banks.

No, with his Green Jobs hoax, he is promoting trickle-up cronyism.
Our tax monies are trickling up into the pockets of his big political donors and some of that trickles back into his campaign financing.
Isn't liberal politics great?

No. When Obama gets involved with something, people lose their jobs and the company goes bankrupt. Just like he's doing with America.

No. Obama is directly stimulating an industry he hopes will provide more jobs to Americans. He isn't cutting rich people's taxes in the hopes that they invest more and stimulate industries that will provide more jobs to Americans. That's the difference between Keynesian economics and "trickle down" economics.

The only thing chairman obama is promoting is his own chance of re-election. He is operating totally without constitutional authority when he decides which of his campaign contributors will be repaid for their contributions. How many of these "green jobs" have actually been created here in America? How many of the companies who received these contribution refunds have gone bankrupt anyway?
