Help! My iPhone 4s camera is taking low quality pictures?
I recently got an iPhone 4s on the 28th January and when I took some pictures with the camera and uploaded them, a friend said to me that the quality is poor compared to the ones he takes (iPhone 3) and the ones his girlfriend takes (iPhone 4). After reading up on the internet I should be taking better pictures with the iPhone 4s. Does anyone know why and how I can solve this problem? Here are some of the pictures what I've taken to show you what It's like - http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/431...
I know It's not a real camera but I've seen the pictures you can take with this phone and they're actually good. I do have a proper digital SLR camera so don't need to go and buy one. Anyone have any good answers?

This info may not help! BUT........ does your phone have a quality setting like "number of pixels"?
If it does then set the phone for the highest number of pixels.
Also it may have a number of pictures available setting-use the setting which give/yield the LEAST
number of pictures.
If these suggestions don't help, I would consider returning the camera for an exchange if possible or a refund.
Have you tried calling Apple?

Your phone is capable of comparatively large photos, so how come you uploaded such a teeny tiny file when you want it to be evaluated?
Upload a full sized and UNEDITED version, then we actually have something useful to compare to "base".

They look about what you can expect. Try to take photos outside on a bright day and see if they improve any. These cameras do not do that well in low light.

I have an iPhone 4s as well and it takes great pics. Kinda looks like those are altered photos, like they were taken with a filter app.

If you have photoshop use the noise filter. Or instagram will make it look worse. Also you could resize it on your computer to a smaller size, save it then enlarge the saved picture.

Now you tell me, what do you expect from a junky phone camera anyway? If you want real pictures buy a real camera.
