Is Star Wars: The Old Republic worth buying?
I’m thinking of buying this game, but I am just wondering whether it is really worth the retail price / subscription?
What do you guys who already play it think about it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, great game indeed, especially if you like Star Wars. You can play this game even not fighting with other players, it has it's own storyline and a lot of quests.

I don't have money for it now but most star wars games are weak... that is until aspyr and lucas started doing the Star wars the force unleashed series... Yes i would say its worth getting. However don't expect it to be for star wars fans... because I was in the civilization series... loved them all... and someone said 5 sucked... I disagree, but if you're a die hard fan for a certain style dont get this game... space marines did the same thing with the DOW series... however its my favorite so far

Its worth it assuming you have free time to play. Its far better than other MMO's, although it does take a lot from WoW.. Of course its not just a click and kill game, you have to constantly use your attacks because there is no Auto Attack, the game has 8 different stories and of the ones I have tried (Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior and Sith Inquistor, although not to far for Inq and Jugg) are great, there is always this erge to want to keep going and find out what happens next. PvP is fun, Huttball is very orignal and a lot of fun. You get a ship around level 15-16 which allows you to travel between planets, do Space Quests (Mini-games that yield good amounts of Exp and Credits) that can be done daily, the game has 4 classes and 8 advance classes (Each starting class breaks into 2 new classes at level 10) and of that, there is their mirrored counter part (Sith Warrior = Jedi Knight, Sith Inquistor = Jedi Counslor, Bounty Hunter = Trooper, Imperial Agent = Smuggler)
if you have time, get the game, more so if your a fan of SW.

I haven't played it personally, but my friend (Who loves Star Wars) said it was horrible. He said it was just a generic mmo like most just different models and different named stuff.

Yes if you like BioWare type of games.
No if you just want to rush to end-game.
