how to dress italian for cultural day?

tomorrow at my school is heritage/cultural day. we are supposed to dress up somehow to show where we are from. well, i'm italian. what should i wear to show that? i have no ideas. thanks. (:

    Obviously, people don't dress like that in Italy regularly, anymore - however, if your family came during the diaspora (which reached its peak in the early 1900's), this is likely how your immigrant ancestresses would have dressed.

    Wear an Italian soccer jersey and a fake gucci handbag or sunglasses or something :-)
