What are some ideas for a Japanese themed birthday party?
I am turning 19 and am throwing a Japanese/Asian themed birthday party. So far I have: fortune cookies, cushions to sit on instead of chairs with a low table, lanterns, tea, sushi, Ramune (soda), soy sauce, rice, noodles, paper fans, chopsticks, Japanese music, Cherry Blossoms, bamboo, and "writing your name in Japanese activity"...
I would love to hear some more activity ideas and also just decor and food/snack ideas... Anything would help! (:
Thanks!!! (:

Make everyone say 'Herro' instead of 'Hello'. For your non-Asian guests, provide clear tape so these guest can tape back their eyes to look more 'Oriental'. Have a contest to see who can drive as slowly as possible on a busy road. Be sure to encourage the drivers to make inadvisable lane changes as well. Invite your guest to do complex math problems for fun. Have all your guests dye their hair black and wear outdated clothing. Carve up some fish fresh from the tank and force your guests to consume the fish. For a real topper, make up a fake atom bomb out of paper and pretend to drop it on your guests.
