My brakes are not working, its 1997 nissan sentra. help?

NO Grinding or scratching, No Loud screeching or high pitch noises, No Vibration or pulling. I check the pads and they seem fine not much wear, also the discs, nothing, i can seem to find whats wrong with them. Thanks

Update:

my brake goes to the floor. there is oil, and no leaks from any where. my brake light is also on.

    You may have a leak in your brake lines or your master cylinder may have gone bad. Try pumping the brakes with the tires off and see if there any leaks. Check the brake fluid resivoir and see if the level is low.

    You should bleed the brakes there is probably air in the lines did u put fluid in recentlly??

    the indications you supply make it sound like the battery is susceptible. have you ever tried to leap the engine yet? in case you nevertheless get the "clicking" sound then you actual will be wanting heavier jumper cables. purchase a heavy gauge cable or in an emergency use 2 smaller gauge cables mutually to grant the amperage the starter desires to operate. reliable success.
