Is it necessary to replace 4 fillings with crowns eventually?

Okay so I have about 4 fillings in 3 teeth (one of the 3 teeth has two) but they are small, as I was told they were tiny cavities, the dentist used white fillings. Is it necessary to replace the fillings with crowns down the line? My mom has one filling in her permanent teeth which shes had for about 40 years, it never came off. Btw I think they were unnecessary fillings but there's nothing I can do now.

It would only be necessary if there were extensive decay in these teeth somewhere down the line, or if they broke.

Most teeth that have had fillings do not go on to need crowns. After a number of years, it's possible the fillings may need replacing (especially the white ones), but you don't need to worry about crowns. In addition, you say these were tiny cavities.

I don't think you need to worry about crowns for them.

    ***Hope this helps!
