How do you setup a texture pack for a mac? I have it in the texture pack location and it is a zip file but when it appears on the minecraft texture pack screen it is just black and white. When I load the texture pack it is the same a default....

I'm not sure i tried to do the same thing and couldn't add them to my mac.

Bob Is Right Do What He Said That Should Work Otherwise Maybe The Texture Pack Could Be Out of date make sure you downloaded the correct version of the pack.
OR
It may require MC Patcher to fix it try downloading that, that will help you out
If nothing Helps Then pick another texture pack

Step 1. Unzip the texture pack
2. Select all of the files and rezip it.
3, If on a PC go to your search bar and type %appdata% then roaming, .minecraft, texture packs
4. place the .zip file in the folder.
