1997 The Misfits in Corpus Christi during "Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight?". General Admission outside/no seating. The entire crowd intensely moshed together. Freakin huge pit that night.

I was in a mosh pit in mexico and the mosh crown started moving like a big giant amorphous mass. first it took the security line in front of the stage, and then swallowed up a few of the band members. I don't ever remember who was playing. In the end, i think something like seven had died and 20 or more in the hospital.
