It sounds like your sore throat might be due to allergies, i don't think your wisdom teeth have anything to do with this. Wisdom teeth are just molars. They are called wisdom teeth because they grow in in your late teens to early twenties. These days a lot of people do not even grow them anymore, take for instance your Dad. Our mouths are evolving and becoming smaller. When people were cavemen wisdom teeth were used to crack hard shells of nuts and other foods, now we have utensils to do that, so the human body has taken it upon itself to rid itself of the now unnecessary teeth. that is one of the reasons so many people these days have problems when their wisdom teeth grow in, there is not enough space in the jaw anymore for them. They are just like the other molars in our mouths (the last two teeth on all four sides of the mouth). You might even get lucky and not ever get them either since your father has never grown any in. Hope this helped

Wisdom teeth are extra molars. As a child, everyone has one pair of molars located at the far end of your mouth. As you get to your adolescent age, another pair of molars grow so you end up having two pairs. Lastly, at the start of your adult age, you get your last pair. You will end up having three pairs of molars. Having them removed is optional. By the way, yes, an erupting wisdom tooth can cause soar throats and other upper body pains (above the neck)

well it sounds more like a sore throat of something. see a doctor definetely. and wisdom teeth are teeth that grow in the very back of your gums when your like 17 to 22 years of age usually. a lot of people have to have them removed because of overcrowding, some people dont have too, and some people dont get them at all!
