there is something wrong with my playstation 3!?
my playstation dosnt run, i removed it from the socket and into my room to take a betterlook at it, and when i plug it in just the powercord the fans just blow, i assume that it might be dusty. if not i need better logical answers, once the fans stop the system just shuts down no lights or anything, just stays there. please help. ps i already got an xbox and the 360 sucks so i dont need any expensive crap.
okay i just vaccumed the vents now the fans blow and it beeps 3 times after the fans stop, is this better, i am assumeing that it is.

It sounds like it's doing a fan test. That's when you flick the power on while holding the eject button, the fan then spins really fast for 60 sec, turns off, beeps 3 times and flashes a red light until you turn the power off. Maybe the eject button is stuck. If it were me I'd tap the under side of the case to try and free it or maybe give it a shake. Just an idea.
Btw that's not a typical sign of YLOD.

The fan should not stop at all while it's turned on. Even when it's idle.
If your fan stops then it will overheat very quickly. That's why it's shutting down.
